Lucky Sipin: Lucky has been in the Toronto Salsa scene since 2000. He became a member of the dance group Soul2Sole, and in 2003, became a professional dancer. His extensive martial arts training helped him to be more disciplined in studying the art of Mambo, reinventing himself and adding flare to styles, turn patterns, and body isolations. He was also interested in partner dancing, thanks to his idol Bruce Lee, who was a Cha-Cha dancer himself. Lucky also adopted the fast footwork of Manuel Dos Santos, which is apparent in his dance routines. He was able to establish himself and add a unique flavour to the art of Salsa dancing.
Lucky founded and created BachaSutra: Sensual Bachata. In 2005, he was introduced to Bachata and was addicted to it ever since. He taught Bachata workshops in 2007, the very first in Toronto. He has successfully offered workshops in Canada, the U.S., and the Philippines. Lucky has also performed and competed in Salsa congresses and festivals locally and internationally.
In 2012, Lucky discovered West Coast Swing. He attended workshops for further training. He started competing in West Coast Swing congresses, locally and internationally, in 2013 and has won in a short period of time.
Lucky’s dance is smooth and effortless. His great interpretation of the music is apparent in his shines and styling. Lucky is passionate and dedicated to the art of dance and he would like to share that same passion with the people across the Greater Toronto Area.
