As musicians turned dancers, Matt and Desirae were drawn to West Coast Swing because of the opportunity it provides for musicality and expression in yet another way. They have run the Rising Tide Swing Dance Studio, LLC since 2016 and, post Rising Tide West Coast Swing Guides on YouTube and Facebook weekly. They are long-time instructors in the New England area and teach group classes at DanceBoston every Tuesday night.
You can find Matt and Desirae traveling the country 15-20 weekends a year to teach, compete, judge, and perform. Entering the 11th year of their dance partnership, they are passionate about the Boston WCS community and making core swing, technique fun, accessible, and useful for everyone who learns from them.
