Caleb Teicher began their Lindy Hop journey as a member of Michael Jagger & Evita Arce’s Syncopated City Dance Company. From there, Caleb collaborated with Nathan Bugh to create a 25-minute jazz dance duet which led to further engagement in the Jazz/Lindy Hop community. Since 2021, Caleb has served as Director and Co-Creator of the acclaimed stage show, SW!NG OUT, alongside LaTasha Barnes, Evita Arce, Nathan Bugh, and Eyal Vilner. SW!NG OUT has toured over 16 cities in the United States alongside several extended runs in its hometown, New York City.
Alongside their work as a director/choreographer, Caleb is a regular on the international Lindy Hop/Vernacular Jazz circuit as a judge (at ILHC), instructor (at Paris Jazz Roots, AJW Korea, ILHC, and many others), and competitor (1st place in Invitational Solo Jazz 2023 @ ILHC). They’re also a tap dancer who’s been featured onstage with the National Symphony Orchestra and Jon Batiste, on records for Regina Spektor and Ben Folds, and on their own NPR Tiny Desk Concert alongside composer/pianist Conrad Tao. / www.CalebTeicher.net / Instagram: @CalebTeiche
