Q: What is the easiest way to get to the hotel from the airport?
A: We have provided several transportation options to and from the hotel on our website. Click here for rates, phone numbers, etc.
Q: What is the last date to get the hotel discount?
A: The special hotel rate of $104/night is guaranteed until March 5th, or until the room block is sold out. After that date, rooms are subject to availability.
Q: What is the last date to get the event early registration discount?
A: The last day to receive the discounted price on weekend passes is March 8th. Please note that all payments must be postmarked by March 9th in order to receive the discount.
Q: What happens if I have already paid for the event but can’t attend?
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer refunds on weekend passes, competitions, buffets, or day/evening passes. However, passes are transferable.

Q: Will the instructors be available for private lessons?
A: Most instructors are available for private lessons during the weekend. To schedule a private lesson you may contact the instructor prior to the event or at the event itself. Many of the instructor's websites are provided in their bio's.
Q: What is a Jack and Jill Competition?
A: Jack & Jill competitions are designed to showcase a competitor's skills in spontaneous swing dancing and their ability to dance well with a variety of partners. Competitors enter individually and are randomly assigned to several partners. This is a fun, low-pressure contest that is an excellent introduction to Swing dance competitions.
Q: Do I need a partner for the workshops?
A: The workshops do not require a partner and instructors will rotate partners frequently throughout the classes.
Q: What if I'm a new dancer?
A: The Boston Tea Party is a beginner-friendly dance weekend. In addition to plenty of social dancing for all levels, there are two dedicated beginner workshop tracks. In the Beginner Track, the focus is on learning the fundamentals of West Coast Swing or Lindy Hop in a relaxed environment from some of the best instructors in the country.
Q: Can you help me find a roommate?

Q: Is general dancing available during the competitions?
A: General dancing will be available during all competitions, exhibitions, etc. in the Lindy Ballroom.
Q: Can I purchase a pass for one day only?
A: Day passes are available and allow you to participate in all workshops and attend all activities (including the evening dance) on the day of your choice. Evening passes are also available and enable you to attend all events after 7pm on the day of your choice.
